I’m calling this easy treat “Coin Toss” bars because what you mix in them is totally YOUR CALL!
(This is me trying to pretend like I know football terms)
You could mix in anything you like- chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles, candy, bacon bits, etc.
For this batch, I did a salty/sweet combo of mini marshmlelows, pretzels, and chocolate chips!
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups mini marshmellows
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup pretzels, slightly crushed
Instructions:
1.) Preheat oven to 350℉. Line a 9×13 baking pan with foil or parchment for easy clean up. Spray lightly with nonstick spray.
2.) Cream together butter, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl.
3.) Gradually add in flour, salt, and baking soda. Fold in marshmellows, chocolate chips, and pretzels (or whatever mixings you like) until well distributed.
5.) Spread batter into prepared baking pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Allow to cool before removing from pan and cutting into squares.
These cookie bars are easy to pack up and serve to hungry tailgaters! Let me know what you would mix into your bars in the comments below!
