Poor mothers. They truly deserve more than just one official holiday, don’t you think?
If you’re a horrible child like me, you’ve let the last few weeks get away from you and you’re racing the clock to find a perfect Mother’s Day gift. Don’t worry, there’s still time to totally slay the Mama’s Day game!
When it comes to looking more thoughtful than you’ve actually been, my favorite little gift hack is to do a gift-inside-a-gift!
Because, let’s face it, mother’s deserve more than just one present, right?
Here’s four of my favorite gift-inside-a-gift ideas for Mother’s Day, that you can still totally get before Sunday (either around town or #amazonprime).
1.) A Book Wrapped in a Turkish Towel
I stole this idea from the amazing Katie Jacobs. A great book (like Katie’s So Much to Celebrate) and a Turkish Towel are classic gifts on their own, but put them together and you have the perfect combo! If you’re in Nashville, you can pick up both a Turkish Towel & a book at my favorite gift store, White’s Mercantile. If not, here’s some great Amazon finds to ship your way. These three books have already been mom-approved!
2.) Beach/Summer Tote with Favorite Wine Inside
This one is sure to brighten Mom’s summer! Grab a great summer tote bag, like this one I snagged at Duet, and stuff it with her favorite wine or treats! It will be a sweet surprise inside an already great gift.
3.) Her Favorite Cake on a New Stand
Okay, we all know that mom’s always appreciate something handmade with love. Making her favorite cake, and presenting it on a pretty new cake stand for her to keep is the best of both worlds! If you’re not into baking, maybe just display some of her favorite goodies from a local bakery on the stand (hello, Five Daughters Bakery). Pick up a cake stand at a local homegoods store, or check out these I found on amazon:
4.) Tickets Inside a New Clutch
A cute, little special occasion clutch would be an awesome gift… but one with a special occasion already hidden inside is even better! Look up a concert, play, game, or other fun event going on in your area, and print off some tickets for you and your mama! Is scheduling an issue? Print off an e-gift certificate from stub hub here, and let her pick the event!
No matter what you get for the mother(s) in your life this year, PLEASE FOR PETE SAKE don’t forget a hand-written card. Tell her how much you appreciate her. Let’s be real, that’s the most important present of all (or at least that’s what they tell us).
Leave me a comment if any of these ideas sound like something you might try! Thanks so stopping by!
xoxo,
Carson
