When preparing for a long-awaited vacation, there’s so much to think about, so many errands to run, and so many items to pack. On top of being excited you have to make a list of everything you need to bring – that can get tough! Here are a few of my favorite travel items to bring on every trip, so add these to your packing checklist.
The 5 Travel Items You Shouldn’t Forget to Pack
1. Portable Charger
No one wants to be on a beach or a plane with a dead phone! I like to use this one because it fits in my smaller purses and can also double as a wall charger (you just need a cord).
2. Healthy Snacks and Tea
My friends always tease me because I always have a big bag of different snacks, teas, and drink mixes in my tote! They really can be a lifesaver while traveling. Traveling with my own tea bags is one of my favorite flight hacks- actually, as I’m typing this, I’m on a flight back to Nashville and I’m sipping on a little super-food drink I just made! I just asked my flight attendant for hot water, and mixed in one of my packets of Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee, and a travel packet of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. It’s so soothing to be able to sip on a warm, healthy drink during flights! (If you want to check out more of my favorite travel snacks, head over to my Instagram highlights or shoot me a DM!)
3. Portable Steamer
This might not be necessary depending on where you’re traveling to, but if you find yourself frustrated by wrinkly fabrics out of your suitcase, I like this small, and easy to use steamer. It’s lightweight but good quality! I always bring it on girl’s trips for everyone to use, so it’s been through the ringer!
4. Lightweight Wrap or Turkish Towel
A nice wrap is the perfect thing to throw in your carry-on for chilly planes, but can also be a versatile piece once you reach your destination. If you’re spending time by a beach or pool, I love using these wraps as a sarong or if you’re going out to dinner, it can be the perfect layer to drape over your shoulders.
5. Cute PJs
This might sound silly, but when you’re on a trip and lounging around, stepping up your PJ game can just help put you into vacation mode! Especially if you’re traveling with others, it’s nice to have some cute PJ’s that are a step up from what you normally wear to bed. Above are a few of my favorite brands (some of which are on sale!)
