Putting together a look that is both polished and laid-back is the perfect equation for achieving that ‘effortlessly chic’ style. Here are three of my favorite tips for dressing effortlessly chic and adding in flawless sophistication to any outfit!
Tip #1: Balance
I love balancing out a really classic piece like this gold button blazer with a casual, heather-grey tee underneath. This is a look that could go so many places and be so versatile for a wide range of occasions!

I’m also wearing my go-to, all time favorite jeans by Rag & Bone. I love their high percentage of elastic, and raw-edge hem.
To balance the frayed jeans, I paired them with a pair of heels. Out of all the super high heels I’ve tried, I gotta say, I keep going back to my old faithful – Jessica Simpson. They’re such a great price point, and the most comfortable pair I’ve found.
Tip #2: Wear Brands You Love
You know what else is really chic? Sporting brands that you’re really excited about! Starting with this bandanna – it’s from a local company called By Way Of, and it’s a one-woman operation! She makes small batches of these hand-dyed beauties.
I found her designs at one of my favorite boutiques in Nashville, Alexis + Bolt. There’s a whole bunch of ways you can tie bandanas (I also love using them as headbands), so I think they’re a great accessory to have on hand.
Tip #3: Add in a Clutch
Another piece I’m really excited to share is this cultch by VASH, which I scored at a boutique in Paducah, KY called McClaran Manner. These handbags are handmade in South Africa using traditional and sustainable practices, while also creating artisan jobs for men and women.
